Island Life Live

Mālama I Ke Ola Health Center Programs Specialist Taylor Brigoli recently joined Island Life Live to share how Maui SERG is supporting healing, resilience, and early intervention in the Maui community following the 2023 wildfires.

Through Maui SERG, Mālama I Ke Ola has expanded prevention and early-support efforts within our school-based health centers. These efforts include creating sensory spaces where students can regulate and decompress, providing nourishment through the Second Chance Breakfast Program, and offering health education focused on healthy relationships and emotional well-being.

At the heart of this work is creating safe and supportive spaces where students can connect with trusted adults, develop valuable tools and resources, and feel comfortable asking for help. The goal is to provide prevention and early support before challenges become bigger problems.
